Farrah Died and I'm Sad

Farrah Fawcett died. I'm really sad. She and I did not have the same cancer, and sure as hell didn't have the same money to put behind our treatment. Farrah had anal cancer. I can't even imagine though one hole is as good as the next where cancer is concerned.

In the TV documentary, 'A Wing and A Prayer' shown on TV about a month ago, she was back in Germany getting more treatment. The rain had been pouring for days. Her voice was narrating the documentary, and upon considering what it would be like after death, she said, "I wonder if I will miss the rain." And at that moment, I wondered if I would miss the rain too.

I'm sad too. I just saw this on the news and thought the world has just lost one of its angels.

What's more important to some of us, Pod, is that we would miss you; your unique, charming fix on things!

I'm sad, too.

And I hope wherever she is, she isn't missing anything.

This is a shame that this woman had to die this way. Having the body ravaged by this disease must have been horrible.

It saddens me too POD! When I reflect on how some of the more famous and well known people's lives turned out, I just don't know. One can never imagine what fate has in store for us.

The whole world has gone sad here lately. I'm even kind of sad for Sanford (but not much...). I hate seeing grown men cry.

When I saw Jaclyn Smith talking about her, and she said "she is with the real angels now" I broke down with that really ugly sobbing cry. I am glad I was alone. But it's just another reminder of how short this life can be, and why we should eke out every drop of happiness from each day.

Too many lives are cut short by cancer. I admire how Farrah faced her fears and shared her experience of living with cancer. I really hope her courage will drive home that there aren't any "embarrassing" cancers, just people who need good care, support & compassion.

Overall, I think I'm just annoyed that Farrah died earlier in the day and then Michael Jackson died and now it's like who's Farrah?

It's very sad! I think there will be so many things to miss! I take a lot for granted!
