Random Sunday Notes

I'm leaving for the Sierra foothills.

I am nearly finished with Eckhart Tolle's book A New Earth. It's very interesting, deep reading. You have to actually concentrate. If you're the kind of person who's into cars, chicks and beer for all your external transitional excitement -- don't bother reading it. I'm also finishing Mary Karr's Lit. I downloaded Jack Kornfeld's Buddhism for Beginners for the trip.

I keep beginning. Someone's got to.

Please feed my cat while I'm out of town and don't make her diabetic.
That's my job.

wow - cool photos. They make me think I should probably enjoy all the beastly leaves I had to sweep up today.
Why don't mine look as nice as yours?

CAN you make a cat diabetic??

Have a great trip!

I favor wine, women, and song over cars, chicks and beer--but in any event I'm not exactly deep.

Your reading list is way more ambitious than mine!

What was that other famous book that Tolle wrote? Hm. Maybe I ought to add these to my list. Except suddenly I got mulish and refused to read on the subway, preferring to stare into space. (Accomplishment burnout?) For months. Tomorrow, I'm going to finish my book.

Cheers to new beginnings! Have a safe trip and I hope someone feeds your cat 'cause I'm too far away to make it there ;)

The Sierra foothills are lovely this time of year. (Okay, so they're always lovely.) I hope you have/had a relaxing time.

No sugary treats for the feline. Gotcha.

hmmmm now I cant decide if ET's book is for me or not.

I do love me some fast cars and trashy novels.

Hope you're enjoying your time away. Unfortunately, the cat horked up a hairball in the middle of your bed, so I threw away your comforter. (How was I supposed to know he couldn't hold his liquor?)

Happy Thanksgiving! :D

I'm teaching your cat how to use your toothbrush. =^..^=

Next time you're in the Sierra foothills, we should meet up.

First of all, I LOVE your pictures (as always).

Secondly, I didn't like the book...but I'm so glad that you're getting something out of it. The concepts were okay...maybe I just got caught up in the details of "spirit bodies."

In any event, I think you're fantastic and -although overdue - I'm so thankful that I "met" you. :)
